Colombia en Onda Media hacia el mundo

Hola amigos soy Rubén Francisco Medina Parada y es un enorme gusto presentarme ante la comunidad diexista internacional a quienes les quiero dejar y compartir este trabajo profesional de entera dedicación durante más de 35 años en recopilar información de distintas fuentes tanto general como técnica y lograrla mantener actualizada en el tiempo sobre las estaciones radiales que operan en la banda AM de mi país Colombia.

Mi pasión y afición por el hobby del Diexismo (Dx), empezó en la época como estudiante cuando apenas cursaba sexto grado de bachillerato. Recuerdo que tenía una pequeña radio que por fortuna tenía banda SW y lograba sintonizar por las noches la señal del Servicio Latinoamericano de la BBC de Londres en especial su programa el Radio Club Latinoamericano y después de recibir su primera respuesta de parte de éllos, me motivé e interesé mucho más a seguir explorando otras estaciones y programas en español como por ejemplo Radio Nederland Wereldomroep, Radio Japón (NHK), La VOA, La Deutsche Welle, Radio Exterior de España, etc.

Como podrán apreciar mis colegas diexistas y lectores es un documento cuyo contenido está enfocado a la parte técnica que para cualquier radioescucha cuando logar sintonizar o captar la señal emitida por estas estaciones radiales desconocen por completo el lugar exacto o aproximado de donde les llega dichas ondas hertzianas traspasando fronteras. En verdad fue muy apasionante lograr y ver realizado este sueño el cual mantuve siempre y que por temas de tiempo no había podido realizarlo. Además, debo decirlo no fue fácil por los continuos cambios que surten alrededor de las propias emisoras nacionales pero finalmente pude hacerlo.

Las imágenes aéreas y terrenas de los sitios emisores o plantas transmisoras y estudios de emisión fueron captadas en su mayoría de Google Earth y los logos oficiales de las estaciones de sus propias páginas web y redes sociales. En cuanto a la situación actual de las emisoras colombianas en Onda Media es un poco preocupante debido a múltiples razones entre ellas los altos costos de
energía lo que las ha obligado a racionalizar estrictamente sus horarios de emisión. Otro factor son su crítica situación financiera lo que hace que muchas terminan cerrando y devolviendo la  frecuencia al Mintic (Ministerio de las Tecnologías y la Información) como ha ocurrido en los últimos años. De las existentes la mayoría pertenecen a las dos grandes cadenas radiales: RCN Radio
y Caracol Radio (Prisa Media) y las otras restantes están relacionadas a comunidades religiosas y una minoría a particulares.

COLOMBIAN AM HANDBOOK

Hello friends, I am Rubén Francisco Medina Parada and it is a great pleasure to introduce myself to the international DX community, to whom I would like to share this professional work of full dedication for more than 35 years in collecting information from different sources, both general and technical, and to keep it updated over time on the radio stations that operate in the AM band of my country, Colombia.

My passion and interest for the hobby of DX began when I was a student when I was barely in sixth grade. I remember that I had a small radio that fortunately had a SW band and I managed to tune in at night to the signal of the Latin American Service of the BBC of London, especially its program, the Latin American Radio Club, and after receiving their first response from them, I became much more motivated and interested in continuing to explore other stations and programs in Spanish, such as Radio Nederland Wereldomroep, Radio Japan (NHK), La VOA, La Deutsche Welle, Radio Exterior de España, etc.

As my fellow DXers and readers will appreciate, this is a document whose content is focused on the technical part, which for any radio listener when they manage to tune in or pick up the signal emitted by these radio stations, they are completely unaware of the exact or approximate location where these radio waves reach them across the borders. It was truly very exciting to achieve and see this dream come true, which I always had and which I had not been able to do due to time constraints. In addition, I must say that it was not easy due to the continuous changes that occur around the national stations themselves, but I was finally able to do it.

The aerial and ground images of the transmitter sites or transmitter plants and broadcast studios were mostly captured from Google Earth and the official logos of the stations from their own web pages and social networks. As for the current situation of Colombian medium wave stations, it is a bit worrying due to multiple reasons, including high energy costs, which have forced them to strictly rationalize their broadcast schedules. Another factor is their critical financial situation, which means that many of them end up closing and returning their frequency to the Mintic (Ministry of Information and Technology) as has happened in recent years. Of those that exist, the majority belong to the two major radio chains: RCN Radio and Caracol Radio (Prisa Media) and the remaining ones are related to religious communities and a minority to individuals.
